The University of Pisa, founded in 1343, is one of the most ancient and prestigious universities in Europe. Today the University has a faculty of 1400 professors and lecturers, and close to 50000 students. The project activity will take place at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione laboratory. The nanoelectronics group at the University of Pisa has coordinated and participated to a series of research projects in the field of nanoelectronics and nanotechnology for ICT funded by the European Commission in FP4, FP5, FP6, and FP7, H2020, by the European Science Foundation, and by national research agencies. The group has a specific expertise on CMOS technology and in the fabrication and characterization of printed electronic devices and circuits based on two-dimensional materials.

The Department is currently opening positions for post-doctoral researchers who want to join the group of Professor Gianluca Fiori.

Details

A one-year postdoc position to work in the field of printable electronic is available. The activity will be performed within the European Projects ERC PEP2D and the WASP Project and it will be devoted to the fabrication of transistors and sensors to be included in circuits laying on flexible substrates as paper, to be further exploited in demonstrators of wearable systems.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the fabrication of printed electronic devices.
  • Excellent publication record.
  • Excellent oral and written English.

Summary of conditions:

Contract Length: 1 year, renewable up to 5 years depending on the performance.
